General functions

In order to contribute to the effective implementation of Supporting “KHOR” for Women Empowerment in FATA through Strengthening of FATA’s tribal women network “Qabailee Khor” in all Agencies of FATA, the “Social Mobilizer” (SM) will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the “Project Manager” (PM) through proper channel of “Project Officer” (PO) and “Project Coordinator” (PC) and will conduct all tasks assigned by Project Officer (PO) and facilitate in the smooth functioning of the Head Office of “KHOR” and Agencies level activities, monthly reporting, implementation of project activities and project reviews/meetings. Social Mobilizer can be hired for a period of six months by either internal or external hiring procedures.

Specific responsibilities

1. Assist PM for smooth execution of HO and Agencies level activities, including following areas:

2. Conducting task assigned by PO Through proper channel of PC & PM for identification of women at Agency level in F.A.T.A

3. Arrangement & finalization of community mobilization plans

4. Listing of unregistered women for QK membership through door-to-door campaigns

5. Mobilization of women for advocacy for FATA Reforms, and against FCR, Riwaj.

6. Mobilization of women at agency level for awareness about electoral process.

7. Facilitating supervisor in training sessions.

8. Coordinate and arrange meetings with concerned government authorities, office bearers of political parties, district and local government officials and influential in the assigned areas to facilitate advocacy process.

9. Identify and recruit youth volunteers and assist the volunteer for progress of the relevant activities

10. Contribution in timely submission of all relevant MOVs against respective activities (such as, event reports, assessments, attendance sheets, photographs, media briefings, scanned copies of tokens etc.) and as defined in the official schedule.

11. Ensure all targets are timely achieved in the assigned areas.

12. Participate and ensure 100 % attendance in the trainings, sessions/ forums.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in related discipline or graduation with three years of proven relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization and advocacy in the targeted area.
  • Knowledge of relevant political rights field(s), (women’s voting rights; and women electoral participation in General Elections) and practical experience would be preferable.
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required, along with the understanding of local language.
  • Knowledge of local language Pashto is required and English language will be considered an added advantage
