The Human Resource Officer is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the human resources function within an organization. This role involves recruitment, employee relations, training and development, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Selection:

  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws and company hiring policies.

2. Employee Relations:

  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HRrelated issues.

3. Training and Development:

  • Coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Identify training needs and develop training materials and resources.
  • Track and evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

4. Performance Management:

  • Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance evaluation techniques and performance improvement plans.
  • Monitor and review employee performance and provide recommendations for recognition and rewards.

5. Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.

6. HR Administration:

  • Manage HR administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee files, processing payroll, and administering benefits programs.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related reports and analytics to management.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Master degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in human resources roles, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
