PESHAWAR: In order to ensure transparency and curb corruption in government departments, the Centre for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA), a civil society organisation, has asked the Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government to take practical steps for enactment of the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) planning and development department’s researcher Shah Mehmud said government officials dodge every attempt at disclosing financial information.
Peshawar: Participants at a seminar here Monday underlined the need for enactment for Right to Information with an objective to ensure transparency and improvement in the existing governance system besides involving local community in budget making process.
Peshawar: Centre for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) has demanded the President of Pakistan to notify promulgation of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) Local Government Regulations. The FATA Local Government Regulations (FLGR) were thoroughly discussed and debated in 2012 by stakeholders from all seven agencies of FATA.
Peshawar: The government needs to take prompt steps to give citizens access to information as mandated through Article 19-A, recommended Centre for Governance and Public (CGPA) Programme Coordinator Abid Hussain.
