PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Information Commission (RTIC) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) to install a toll-free helpline with a view to facilitate the citizens in exercising their constitutional right to information.
The helpline would be installed in the RTI Commission, which will also provide monetary and capacity building support, including appointment of helpline facilitators, acquisition and installation of toll-free number and its requisite hardware.
The MoU was signed by RTIC Chief Information Commissioner Sahibzada Mohammad Khalid and CGPA Executive Director Mohammad Anwar. Initial period of the MoU will be 11 months from the time of commencement of the project.
