PESHAWAR: The Centre for Governance and Public Accountability, a civil society organisation, on Thursday urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to extend the right to information law to the provincially administered tribal areas for the benefit of the people.

Waiting for a (re)lapse: ‘Government needs to expedite use of development funds’

PESHAWAR: The Centre for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) has urged the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to expedite the use of the development budget allocated under the Annual Development Programme (ADP). This was stated in a press release issued by the organisation on Monday.

Govt passes 35 laws from KP Assembly: Arif Yousaf

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Arif Yousaf has said that Pakistan Tehreek-eInsaf-led government has discussed 114 laws in the provincial assembly in which 35 laws have so far been passed by the legislators.

Lagging behind: RTI law yet to be extended to PATA

PESHAWAR: A year has passed since the Right to Information Act (RTI) was passed by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly, but it is yet to be extended to the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (Pata) due to ‘legislative hurdles’, officials told The Express Tribune.
